Major General Dom Biddick has served as DCOM NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Italy since December 2025. HQ NRDC-ITA executes the NATO Allied Reaction Force (ARF) mission working directly to SACEUR as his only dedicated multi-domain very high readiness force with assigned Force Elements. The ARF contributes to peacetime vigilance, deterrence and the defence of the Alliance.
Maj Gen Biddick previously served as Chief of Staff of the Field Army in the British Army from 2023-25, maximizing the operational impact and modernisation of the deployable force. In this role he served as the 2* Land Component Commander supporting the UK’s Chief of Joint Operations executing operations globally and commanded the Land Special Operations Force, Intelligence Group and CEMA Group.
As an OF6 he served as ACOS (Operations) within the British Army’s Land Operations Command from 2020-22 and commanded 20th Armoured Infantry Brigade in Germany and the UK from 2018-2020. During this time the Brigade operated at high readiness and deployed forces on operations in Estonia, Afghanistan, Cyprus and the UK.
Between 2015-2017 he served on exchange with the US Army, working as a Special Assistant to General Milley, the Chief of Staff of the US Army.
He commanded the 1st Battalion of The Royal Anglian Regiment from 2013-2015. This time was defined by deployment to Afghanistan and the opportunity to establish and command the multinational Kabul Security Force. In September 2023 he was appointed Colonel of The Royal Anglian Regiment.
He was appointed MBE for service as a Close Observation Platoon Commander in Northern Ireland in 2001 and awarded the Military Cross for combat operations in Afghanistan in 2007.
General Biddick is a graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies (2023) and UK Higher Command and Staff Course and Advanced Command and Staff Course. He has also completed the UK and NATO Pinnacle Courses and US C/JFLCC Course. He has completed an MPhil in International Relations at Cambridge University and MA in Defence Studies with King’s College London.
He is married with two small children and enjoys time on the hills and wild camping with them, and the odd Mountain Marathon when time allows.
