|Key Leader Training (KLT) and Academics
From 21 to 23 February, as part of essential preparations for the upcoming Exercise Steadfast Jackal 2022, military leaders and staff personnel from across the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy and affiliated units attended Key Leader Training (KLT) and Academics at Ugo Mara Barracks.
Steadfast Jackal 2022 is a SHAPE sponsored exercise which will train NRDC-ITA as a Joint Headquarters in planning and conducting a non-article 5 Small Joint Operation with limited complexity.

|Operational Liaison and Reconnaissance Team (OLRT) at NATO JWC
NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) hosted the Operational Liaison and Reconnaissance Team (OLRT) led by NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy (NRDC-ITA) in conjunction with the crisis response planning for Exercise STEADFAST JACKAL 2022 (STJA22).
The Grey Cell provided by the JWC plays a key role in the success of the OLRT mission, covering the full spectrum of political, military, economic, social, infrastructure, and the information environment of STJA22, which is based on a fictitious non-Article 5 scenario.

|Crisis Response Planning (CRP)
The Crisis Response Planning (CRP) ensures the application of planning processes aimed at developing effective directives and executable operational plans.
Multiple HQs and units were engaged in the activity, including the German JFAC (Joint Forward Air Component) and the Italian Vittorio Veneto Division.
The accomplishment of the CRP represents another step towards EX STEADFAST JACKAL 22.

|EX Steadfast Cobalt 2022
The exercise Steadfast Cobalt 2022 conducted with NATO CIS Group was fruitful an occasion for NRDC-ITA and the 1st Signal Regiment to enhance the interoperability of NATO Allies.
EX Steadfast Cobalt 2022 is the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) sponsored exercise designed to validate the network systems in preparation for NRF23 and the NFS JHQ for 2023.

|MEL/MIL Incident Development Workshop at NATO JWC
NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy conducted at NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) the Main Events List/Main Incidents List (MEL/MIL) Incident Development Workshop for Exercise STEADFAST JACKAL 2022 (STJA22). The aim of the workshop is to build a script that is fit for purpose in challenging the STJA22 training audiences at the operational and strategic levels.

|EX C2TF Jackal 2022
With the exercise C2TF Jackal 2022 the 33rd Tactical and Logistic Support Regiment Ambrosiano tested its logistic projection capability and conducted specific infantry training at the Italian Army shooting range located in Foce Reno.
The exercise was aimed at consolidating the training level of the personnel, as well as testing the logistical, operational and force protection support capabilities of the Regiment which has the task of projecting and supporting the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy (NRDC-ITA) in any type of intervention within the 3 core tasks of the Alliance: collective defense, crisis management and cooperative security.

|Scripting workshop at NATO JWC
The scripting workshop for STEADFAST JACKAL 2022 was conducted at the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) as the final stage in the planning process. The workshop was crucial for the exercise, as trained and evaluated NRDC-ITA in conducting a non-Article 5 small joint operation.

|Battle Staff Training (BST)
From 24 to 28 October, as part of essential preparations for the upcoming STEADFAST JACKAL 2022 (STJA22), over 200 military personnel from across the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy affiliated and subordinate units attended Battle Staff Training (BST) at Ugo Mara Barracks. This round of BST provided the opportunity for essential augmentees, liaison officers and enablers to fine-tune tactics, techniques and procedures to prepare for the execution phase of the keystone exercise that starts.

|STEADFAST JACKAL 2022 concluded
The executive phase of the STEADFAST JACKAL 2022 exercise was concluded in Stavanger, Norway, at the NATO Joint Warfare Centre (JWC), aimed at certifying the ability to plan and apply NATO command and control procedures in the configuration of Joint Task Force Headquarters, deployed in a crisis scenario.
