Exercise "Eagle Overland" is over

NRDC-ITA carried out an important exercise in different European countries

Solbiate Olona, April 24, 2024. From 15 to 24 April, a team, composed by NRDC-ITA and its Support Brigade personnel, conducted the Eagle Overland 24 (EAOV24).

This complex activity was carried throughout different European countries to test border crossing procedures. The Operational Liaison Reconnaissance Team (OLRT) moved on its vehicles across Slovenia and Hungary to reach as final destination Bucharest. Here, in cooperation with MND-SE, different activities were put in place to identify any potential gap in radio check. This exercise was a further example of the already ongoing collaboration with Romanian Allies in the context of simultaneous activities carried out by NATO in the area.

EAOV24, with the crucial support guaranted by many Allies, has represented an important step forward in terms of interoperability both in planning and in execution phase.

Furthermore, this training has been a good opportunity to collect lesson learnt in the sight of the very close "Steadfast Deterrence". The exercise will validate NRDC-ITA before assuming this role in a couple of months through a long journey which has allowed to the NATO Command in Milan to expand its reach across domains and nations, develop friendships and partnerships whilst delivering mutual training and support.
