On 5 March, the NRDC-ITA, in its role as Allied Reaction Force (ARF) Command, conducted its monthly Study Day, reaffirming its commitment to continuous professional development and operational excellence.
The event, designed as a dedicated training opportunity for personnel across all components, focused on key strategic and operational themes shaping today’s security environment. Discussions addressed the evolution of the threat landscape, with particular emphasis on emerging and hybrid challenges. Subject-matter experts delivered in-depth analysis on the air domain, highlighting trends in aerospace capabilities and their implications for joint operations. Participants also examined the evolving nature of sabotage activities and their impact on military readiness, resilience, and force protection.
A significant portion of the Study Day was devoted to reviewing the outcomes and lessons identified during Mission Rehearsal Exercise Steadfast 2026, ensuring that operational insights are fully integrated into planning processes and future activities. This collective reflection further strengthened the Command’s preparedness and interoperability within the Alliance framework.
As ARF Command, NRDC-ITA continues to affirm its role not only as a high-readiness operational headquarters, but also as a centre for training and knowledge development. Fully aligned with NATO’s ongoing transformation and modernization efforts, the Command remains committed to fostering a culture of learning, adaptation, and innovation.
Through initiatives such as the Monthly Study Day, NRDC-ITA ensures its personnel remain agile, informed, and ready to anticipate and address the complex challenges of the future security environment, in steadfast support of the Alliance’s collective defence and deterrence posture
